Over the weekend, we hosted several classes and seminars with Julio Toribio Kancho, founder and chief instructor of Seibukan Jujutsu, here at Seibukan Jujutsu of Wasilla. I thought everybody might be interested to see a few notes from the weekend on attendance: Instructors' Certification Class: 7 Kids' Seibukan Seminar: 15 (Amazing, considering that there isn't a Seibukan kids program in the state until September!) Adults' Seibukan Seminar: 24 Advanced Seibukan Class: 11 Battojutsu Class: 12 I appreciate everyone's hard work and support in bringing off the seminar so well. Especially Jason Sensei, Tony, and Ramzi. As a side note, in the next couple of months, there will be three shodan tests (Tom, Riley, Tony) and a sandan (Morgaine) coming. I'll be posting the dates for those soon.

Padded Weapons Seminar Report

Saturday the 19th, the Valley Tang Soo Do Academy played host to Dan McAdams, founder of Ronin Products. He did two padded weapons seminars: one for juniors and one for adults. I didn't see the juniors' seminar, but was at the adults' seminar--for all four and a half hours of it! A good twenty people attended.
